Is the "Cloud Computing" a new concept?
Right, in the 1960s John McCarthy thought that Cloud computing would be a public utility and published about it in 1961. You can read about his career in nascent "Cloud computing" here
Folks ... it is one time the U.S. Federal Gov't actually nailed something ... here are the 5 key requirements for Cloud Computing from NIST -- it keeps things real simple here - no need to complicate things:

- On-demand self-service
- Ubiquitous network access
- Location independent resource pooling
- Rapid elasticity
- Measured Service
It is nothing more ... nothing less. This definition works perfectly in the public, private or hybrid/community clouds !
